About the Role
We are currently seeking hardworking and dependable Music Stage Hands to assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of equipment for music events, concerts, and performances. As a Music Stage Hand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of live music productions and providing support to artists, technicians, and production crews.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and instruments onto and off of the stage
Set up and arrange stage equipment, including microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and instruments
Assist with the assembly and disassembly of stage structures, such as platforms, risers, and backdrops
Ensure the proper placement and organization of cables, wires, and other stage accessories
Operate stage equipment and machinery, such as lighting and sound systems, under the guidance of technicians
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure the safety and functionality of equipment
Provide support to artists and performers during rehearsals and live performances as needed
Assist with stage changes and transitions between acts during events
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Work collaboratively with other stage hands, technicians, and production staff to achieve production goals
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a stagehand or similar role in the music or entertainment industry preferred
Basic knowledge of stage equipment and operation
Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in demanding environments
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Salary: $30,000 - $40,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
